We need to elevate Pinal County into more than just a location on someone’s GPS. It needed to be a brand; something that could unite the county’s cities, businesses, and residents, both present and future. Moses would need to develop a logo and all the elements that went with it, including a style guide, to ensure that Pinal County would have a clean look, creative consistency and, above all, an identity.
Even though this rebrand would in essence be reinventing Pinal, it was imperative that the creative assets tell a story and share a connection to the county itself. Our logo, fonts, and overall color palette were inspired by the desert’s natural resources: copper and azurite. The logo symbol itself was a tech-inspired sun – think motherboard meets something solar – to speak not only to Pinal County’s ideal year-round sunshine but also to the promising influx of new tech and transportation companies.
In the end, the rebrand did more than give Pinal County a polished new look, it gave them a story to tell, a story to entice newcomers and unite existing residents. Just like the logo itself, this rebrand positioned Pinal County as a community with a bright future, where opportunities were waiting and possibilities were endless. Speaking of opportunities, As for the clients themselves, Pinal County was so pleased with the work we presented, they asked us to handle all other creative projects going forward.
