The rebrand for this refreshment would need to capture the spirit, so to speak, of Puerto Rico while still giving the brand itself a more universal appeal. It needed to be something that caught your eye from across the bar. Hip but not trendy. High-end but hardly out of reach.
The Moses creative team set to work developing names. After thorough research, brainstorming, and maybe a drink or two, we presented the winning name to the client: Veycosi Vodka. Meaning “juice of the Yuca” to the island’s indigenous Taíno people, Veycosi would allow us to showcase the spirit of Puerto Rico in a bold, new way.
Creative moved forward with copy and design, working their way through mockups until they found the look that fit: clean lines, simple but bold contrasting colors, and little details that paid homage to the home of Veycosi Vodka. It captured your attention from a far, and kept it as you skimmed the bottle. Just like the small-batch spirit itself, this was a rebrand that made an impression and lingered long after.
